About Paros

Paros is a Greek island located in the Aegean Sea, part of the Cyclades group of islands. It has a total area of 196 square kilometers and a population of around 13,000 people.

Villages

Kostos, nestled along the route from Parikia to Lefkes in Paros, is a charming village steeped in history.  

Aliki, situated on the southern coast of Paros, is a scenic coastal village graced with a charming harbor, just 13km south of Parikia.  

Lefkes, nestled in the heart of Paros, stands out as one of the Cyclades’ most enchanting villages. Located 11 km southeast of Parikia, it sits at an elevation of 300 meters amidst a lush landscape adorned with olive and pine trees.  

Piso Livadi, situated near Marpissa, is approximately 17 km southeast of Parikia in Paros.  

Parikia, also known as Paros Town or Chora, serves as the vibrant capital of Paros, housing approximately 3,000 residents.  

Marpissa, nestled on the hill of Kefalos overlooking Piso Livadi, lies 18 km southeast of Parikia in Paros.

The Archaeological Museum of Paros in Parikia, established in 1960, originally housed artifacts from the Monastery of Panagia Ekatontapiliani.

The Valley of Butterflies, or Petaloudes in Greek, lies 5 km south of Parikia near the Monastery of Jesus of Woods on Sotires Paros.

The winery is open to visitors, offering wine tastings and tours of the vineyards and cellar, where visitors can learn about the winemaking process and the history of the Moraitis family.

THE ORIGINAL TOUR EXPERIENCE

A guided tour around the century-old winery and its underground cellars takes you behind the scenes on winemaking at Paros’ most historic winery and explores the unique characteristics of Paros terroir. The tour completes with a tasting of 3 wines accompanied by local bread and gruyere cheese.

Horse Riding

Enjoy the scenery, because one of the great things about horse riding is that it can give you a unique perspective on the landscape. Take the time to appreciate it and enjoy the ride!
A.-SEA SIDE TRAIL RIDE.
It starts at 7:00 a.m. and lasts 2/2.5 hours.The route is coastal, Xyfara-SantaMaria-Filizi-Abelas and we also enter the sea with the horses.
B.-RIDE ON THE MOUNTAIN.
It starts at 18:00pm and lasts 1,5 hours.The route is from a path on the mountain,Ysterni- Damoulis-Abelas where we see around the view from above returning to the beach (not in the water) .
C.- CHILDREN’S RIDE.
For children from 2-7 years old there is a half-hour (30′) ride in which there is aν attendant next to the child.
Parents can also follow on a horse (chargeable)
D.-PRIVATE ROUTE (minimum number of participants 2(TWO).
The private ride takes place at 10:30 or 11:00 in the morning and lasts 1.5 hours.The description of the ride is the same as route B (Mountain ride).
(For the private ride it is better to check availability at least 2 days in advance.)
We offer four different rides allowing you to experience the diverse beauty and scenery of Paros. All 4 rides are daily and operate with reservations depending on availability.
