Luxe honeymoon stay in Oia Santorini

I could not have found a more posh place. The location is in the center of the village of Oia with plenty of shops and restaurants surrounding the area. It’s a boutique hotel that captures the greek traditions, but still looks chic. The Andronis Boutique Hotel pictures online looked so perfect it almost looked fake or too good to be true. Well, the photos are definitely real. All I can say is, Wow! Where do I begin?

Let’s start from the beginning.

We had a car pick us up from the airport. You can ask the hotel to arrange this for you or take a taxi. It was about a 20-minute drive to the hotel. Well sort of arrived. Most of the streets in the village of Oia are only accessible via foot which means the car will only take you as far as they can go.

The hotel bellman met us at the parking lot to help with our bags and guided us to the hotel. This man was STRONG! He carried 1 backpack, 1 large purse most likely the side of a carry-on, 2 very large suitcases and 2 carry on suite cases all by himself. Thankfully the hotel wasn’t too far from the parking lot, however, he still carried our bags all the way down to our suite. Depending on where your hotel is located be prepared to walk some steps.

Upon arrival at the boutique hotel, we were greeted with a glass of champagne, my favorite! The only way to start a fabulous vacation. The front desk told us a little about the property and assured us anything we wanted was just a phone call away. We completed our check-in and were escorted to our beautiful suite. The room was exactly what I had expected and the pictures from the website were the same in person (THANK YOU!). I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stayed somewhere where the pictures and visiting in person were polar opposites.

We had a large patio in front of our suite where were could enjoy our breakfast or a glass of vino. Our suite was gorgeous! Everything was white, the walls, the couch, and the bed. The ceilings were caved and the bathroom looked like I was entering a cave. Off our living room, we had a balcony with two lounge chairs and an infinity hot tub. Other suites come with a personal pool as well. We immediately changed into our bathing suites and enjoyed the sun setting on our perfect balcony. Taking in the view and enjoying the complimentary wine with some homemade greek yogurt and jams. The best greek yogurt in the world, the yogurt is so fluffy it feels like your eating cotton candy, well a healthier version.

All of the rooms come with free WiFi (disclosure: the connection wasn’t very strong but that was okay because who wants to work when you’re in Santorini), satellite TV, CD selection, bathrobes, minibars, and safes.

Make yourself at home and enjoy the two infinity pools on the property. The pools sit on the side of the cliff so you can enjoy the views of the island of Therasia and New Kameni. We spent one day lounging all day and enjoying all of their lovely mixology drinks. The cucumber basil was my favorite! The bartender was fabulous he will make you anything with all of the freshest ingredients.

EAT

The food on the property was incredible and unique.

Breakfast: Choices beyond choices. Breakfast can be delivered to your room or you can go down to the restaurant right by the outdoor pool. The breakfast consists of a full buffet: yogurt, jams, toast, pastries, salmon, meats, cheese and more. It doesn’t stop there, your meal also includes a choice of eggs, pancakes, waffles and omelets prepared by the chef.

The entire team at this hotel was very friendly and accommodating. Someone is always around making sure you have everything you might need or want. The staff is genuinely happy and makes you feel welcomed. All of their recommendations for restaurants, things to do and shopping were very accurate and pleasing.

Our stay at Andronis was magical, perfect and awesome!!!
